The first CD establishes the mood with Voyage’s From East To West and Point Zero, then moves through Junior Jack, Bob Sinclar, Dennis Ferrer, Barbara Tucker, First Choice, Grace Jones and other house and disco reference points. The second disc leans further into classic dancefloor hooks, funk, electro and cosmic textures, with The Hustle, Let’s All Chant, I Wanna Go Bang, Love Explosion and Alexander Robotnick’s Problemes D’Amour giving the closing stretch a strong party pulse.

Это тот случай, когда компиляция работает как большая солнечная прогулка по истории танцевальной музыки. Бочка здесь не агрессивная, а упругая и пружинистая; бас и диско-грув постоянно подталкивают вперёд, поэтому сборник легко слушается даже спустя годы. Самые ходовые моменты для меня — From East To West, Church Lady, Let’s All Chant и I Wanna Go Bang: их можно поставить в середине дневного или вечернего сета, когда зал уже готов к яркому, праздничному движению.

The groove is warm and elastic, with classic drum-machine punch, funk basslines, soulful vocals and bright disco arrangements constantly changing the texture of the mix. “Church Lady,” “Let’s All Chant,” “I Wanna Go Bang” and “Love Explosion” are particularly effective dancefloor moments, while the Voyage opener and the later cosmic/electro selections give the two-disc set a distinctive narrative arc.
